'Tell the Bees' New Paper Craft Collection with Craft Consortium

My second collaboration with Craft Consortium is the new luxury paper pad called Tell the Bees.

I received my samples in the post a few weeks ago and I am delighted with the final product. The quality of the papers and the added gold foils and shimmer details make it perfect for the look and feel I wanted.

For this 'Tell the Bees' New Paper Craft Collection, Craft Consortium added some rubber stamps and ribbon trims hand illustrated by me to coordinate with the papers.

My inspiration for this collection came from an old folklore custom I read about "

"Telling the Bees". This saying is steeped in folklore in which it was considered a custom to notify the bees of any changes to daily life, including births deaths & marriages as they where the beating heart of nature itself. If this custom was omitted or forgotten the Bees might leave their hive, or stop producing honey.

I started my project, as always by creating a printrest board. Images I collected and stared to draw inspirations from are all on this board I started last summer.
